Crimson Moon Loot and Purification

Loot found during a hunt is temporary until you return safely and purify it at the Church. Purified equipment enters your permanent collection; unpurified gear is lost when true death ends the run, while XP and gold remain.
What Purification Does
Purification converts a discovered item into a permanent collection unlock. That collection expands the equipment available when preparing future runs.
What You Lose on True Death
When the shared life pool is exhausted, the active run ends and unpurified finds disappear. Previously purified equipment is not removed.
Why Gear Can Return at Common Tier
Purification preserves the item as an unlock, not necessarily the rarity of the copy found during the run. Upgrade the permanent version again instead of treating the tier reset as deleted progress.
Practical Loot Priorities
- Test unfamiliar weapon arts before the run ends
- Prioritise new collection unlocks
- Do not risk a nearly complete haul for one optional fight
- Return to the hub and confirm new permanent gear
