Launch reviews backed this up, describing the game as strong solo while noting it is at its best with a second player. That is a difference of degree, not a warning — and playing solo also sidesteps the co-op-specific bugs currently on the known-issues list.

Building for Solo Play

In co-op you can specialise, because your partner covers what you do not. Alone, your loadout has to answer everything: crowd control, a repeatable damage loop, a way to disengage, and enough sustain to absorb mistakes.

That argues for a broad, forgiving setup over a maximum-damage one. Control effects are especially valuable solo, because they buy the time a second player would otherwise provide.

The Co-op Bugs You Skip

The developer's known-issues list is noticeably co-op-heavy: false 'Player has left the session' messages, client freezes and disconnects in Moore Manor, invitations that strand the joining player on the title screen, and hosts not receiving mission progress credit.

None of that touches a solo run. If you are deciding how to play during the launch window, solo is currently the more stable path.
